William Wilson, retiring by rotation; nominations 5 Sept, polling 16 Sept, writs returnable 25 Sept 1878 (G. W. Rusden, Clerk). (2) 'Land Tax Act 1877': the Commissioners of Land Tax (Robert Le Poer Trench, Archd. Fisken, A. J. Skene) notify that from the 56th appeal on the 16 Aug list (Appeal No. 23, Thomas Bath, Estate No. 104) onward, appeals will not be heard until further Gazette notice.
